About Ledford's Performance Center

Located at 4900 W Waco Dr, Waco, TX 76710, Ledford's Performance Center operates as an auto repair shop serving Waco in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Hours are published for 4 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–4:30 pm. It is closed on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Ledford's Performance Center at (254) 772-4997; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

I left active duty military over 30 years ago and began the search for a great auto mechanic, just as I had done with every PCS. I found Ledford's a few months later. So for 3 decades now, I've been talking our cars to Tony Ledford, another veteran. He has always done superb work. I give hime my highest recommendation.

My family has used Ledford's for decades, and he's never steered us wrong. He's always provided a fair price and worked with us when the issue is beyond reasonable repair so we weren't out financially. We trust Ledford with all our cars.

I've been using Ledford's for years and I completely trust them. They do great work, are honest, and have really helped me out on a number of occassions over the years.

I have used this mechanic shop for over a year now and they are just fantastic. They do it correctly and completely the first time and always find the cheapest way possible to fix things while still using quality parts. For example, I had my alternator go out a few months ago, and they replaced it with a brand new one the same day for far less than the average repair cost. It's really hard to find honest mechanics, and these are the first ones I've been satisfied with in the Waco area. The only thing is that they do tend to have a bit of a backlog sometimes, so if you need something repaired you have to call it in a few days in advance or expect your car to just wait there for a few days.

Straight up real mechanics! They understand how things work, and fix them accordingly. Call first. With limited space, they try not to have cars waiting around. Book an appointment, and trust what they tell you!
